Having used (or made) Control Rooms in audio trucks, video trucks, greenrooms, and restrooms, I’ve always enjoyed the challenge and spontaneity of capturing music at its best: in acoustically flattering venues where the musicians are energized by the space and the moment.
Over the years, I’ve developed a well-designed complement of recording gear, and use it as a complete FlyPack system, or to simply augment a studio’s inventory with specialized Microphones, Preamps, and Converters.
The art of recording is the engineer's ability to be a seamless liaison to technology. Having the right tools makes it all much easier and way more fun.
At the present time, my kit is centered around:
- Neumann, Sennheiser, Schoeps, Bruel and Kjaer, Geffel, Sanken and Coles mics.
- Millennia and remotely controlled Grace Mic PreAmps
- Prism, Mytek, Grace, and Apogee converters
