Widely regarded as one of the top recording engineers on the planet, Tom Lazarus has recorded and mixed recordings for a broad spectrum of artists ranging from Ray Charles to Renée Fleming, Björk to Yo-Yo Ma and Ornette Coleman to the Vienna Philharmonic.

Working in film and video as well as audio recordings, Tom has traveled around the globe to record in live, remote, and studio situations.

Tom has been honored with numerous Grammy awards, including the 2002 award for Ravi Shankar’s Live Carnegie Hall Concert. In addition, he recorded and mixed the prestigious Van Cliburn Competition for video and DVD, which won the broadcasting and cable industry's most prestigious honor, the George Foster Peabody Award for 2002. He’s hoping to be honored with another Grammy this year for Ornette’s recently released Sound Grammar.
